Flea Market

It is always fun to walk around a flea market or an antique store in search of interesting things to take pictures of.
You just never know what you might find……….

Thank you so much — though I have to admit that I did a bit of processing on that one 🙂

Nice, very nice. Every shot looks like you took them with careful deliberation…………certainly from a compositional point of view………..and some carefully understated processing………….which is not cheating, but the exercise of artistic creativity.

Thank you John — I started out processing with a very HEAVY hand — but slowly learned to back off and try to just “tweak” the shot to improve it a little — it is a constant battle however — ha.

Nothing like a pentatonic scale to perk up the ears (and, in this case, the eyes).

I love how different a Texas flea market can look as compared to a NY flea market.

Markets are certainly cool. Great shots capturing the patina and faded colours of old stuff. I especially like the typewriter keys, the mannequins and the clocks.

You’re absolutely right and you pictures show it well (I personally love the antique dummy one!), but the problems begin when you start buying stuff and you have to carry it through the crowded market along with your camera :)))… Have you ever come to visit Paris? if you love flea markets you should: here they are a real weekend must
